These are all terms people use to describe this product. You most likely found this page by searching on the internet. Since I don't know what term you used in your search, I have to utilize them all to describe basically the same thing. Technically speaking a modular home is different because it is built according to the regular building code used for a particualr state, otherwise a manufactured home falls under federal code which was established in 1974 and is administered by HUD. Factory Built Home Floor Plans:We have factory built home floor plans ranging from 628 square feet to over 2200. We carry the Fleetwood Homes product and Horton Industries. With over 50 factory built home floor plans available, I am confident we can find the home floor plan of your dreams. The beauty of building homes in a factory is you get to build the house in a climate controlled environment. We have all passed by partially completed homes being built on site and seen them getting soaked by the rain. Modular Home Floor Plans:Basically any of our floor plans by Horton Homes can be converted from federal building code to state building code (modular). So any of the Horton Homes floor plans can be a modular home floor plan or a (federal code - manufactured) hud home floor plan. Some manufacturer's may have an entirely different set of floor plans for some modular homes. This may be because they want to make their hud home a "low end" economy product and the modular home a "high end" product. Horton builds a high quality product reguardless of whether it is federal code or state code. Mobile Home Floor Plans:Much of our industry is trying to get away from the term mobile home. We have found that customers still use the term, especially when referring to single wide homes. Anyone who has been in a mobile home lately, especially ones that are larger can attest that these are not the low quality homes of the 70's. If you typed in mobile home floor plans to get to our page, it demonstrates that you are comfortable with the term. If by mobile home floor plan you meant single wide mobile homes, then we have numerous floor plans to look at. Manufactured Home Floor Plans:Manufactured home floor plans come in all shapes and sizes. We carry Fleetwood floor plans and Horton floor plans. I understand that Fleetwood has many different series. We carry the Fleetwood Celebration, Fleetwood Anniversay, Fleetwood Entertainer, and a Beacon Hill. Manufactured home floor plans for Horton are basically either a Summit or Mirage. Both use a house number to identify the floor plan. I have found that customers surfing the internet actually type the specific house number. Single Wide Floor Plans:We try to carry around 4 different single wide floor plan models in stock. This gives a person a feel of size and layout they need. Then we have numerous different single wide floor plans you can order. Oddly enough, we have found that some dealers no longer stock any single wide homes. They probably have single wide floor plans, but they do not carry any show models. Double Wide Floor Plans:Double wide floor plans make up the bulk of what is carried and sold across the whole industry. A double wide set up permanently on private land probably represents 50-75% of the total industry. Double wide floor plans can range in size from about 1000 square feet to over 2200. A double wide floor plan can range from the simple / straightforward to complex and unique. Triple Wide Floor Plan:I do not know if there is a fleetwood triple wide floor plan made in our region. If there is, I have not seen it. The triple wide floor plan we have is a Horton. The Horton triple wide floor plan comes in basically 4 configurations. You have a 2094 sq. ft model with a den on the front or a den on the back or you have a 1880 sq. ft. model with a kitchen on the front or a kitchen on the back. I am going to list the Fleetwood floor plan numbers and the horton floor plan numbers, because you may be searching for that exact model.
